-
Yes! We can supply the reclaimed timber and the craftsmanship to create stunning, durable outdoor pergolas and structures that provide a rustic, high-end look.
Installation & Maintenance
-
Hanging a reclaimed wood mantel or heavy beams requires secure fastening into wall studs or structural framing using heavy-duty brackets. We can add a heavy-duty bracket recessed in the back so it will not be seen. We can provide guidance or coordinate installation support to ensure your piece is safe and level with our brackets.
-
Our reclaimed wood wall planks are typically installed using a combination of construction adhesive and finish nails (brad nails) driven into the studs or a plywood substrate. In most cases brad nails are ok as long as there is a backer.
-
No. We take the integrity of our wood seriously. Our materials are inspected and, where necessary, kiln-dried or sprayed to eliminate insects, ensuring your wood is safe for indoor installation.
-
For walls and beams, a light dusting or vacuuming is sufficient. For high-traffic areas like reclaimed wood flooring, we recommend using a damp cloth with a wood-safe cleaner. Avoid harsh chemicals that could damage the natural patina or finish.
Finishing & Materials
-
A lot of customers prefer the natural look raw right from the barn look. We call this “dirty face”. We offer various techniques such as power washing and brush sanding on any of our material or finish to achieve the look and color you’re after. What we offer is completely customizable.
-
We use high-end, hard-wax oil finishes like Rubio Monocoat and Osmo. These finishes are popular because they are plant-based, VOC-free, and bond with the wood fibers to provide durable protection while keeping the natural look and feel of the grain.
-
Yes! We carry live-edge wood slabs perfect for countertops and tables. As for the reclaimed corrugated tin salvaged from old barn roofs—perfect for accents, ceilings, or wainscoting. We only do large custom orders.
-
While reclaimed wood is very durable, exterior use requires proper sealing to protect it from UV rays and moisture. If left untreated, it will continue to weather naturally over time.
